- Pierce County Public Libraries are open Mondays through Saturdays, with most large branches also open on Sundays. Learn more about the Pierce County Public Libraries weekend schedules.
- Publicly available options to get out of the weather include making a visit to a mall during business hours.
- South Hill Mall is open and could be visited as a public refuge space, Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
